1. Use the link above to find the name and address of your Congressional representative. Write a persuasive letter to your Congressional Representative addressing a concern (real or fictitious) of yours. These will not be mailed. Be sure to address them as "The Honorable ...". Which template (Business Letter, Personal Business Letter, Memo) will you use? Proofread for errors, and check for respectful "tone". Print the letter.
2. Highlight the Inside Address. Choose the Mailings tab, Envelopes button. Type your name and address in the Return Address area. Pick up your envelope from me. Draw a stamp on the front of it. Place the envelope in the printer CORRECTLY, as you will only have one each. Choose Print.
3. Sign the letter, Fold it correctly and place inside the envelope. Do not seal it. Turn in on my laptop.

Use ruled/lined paper for the Employer Skills unit test. In the heading, include your name, today's date (2/16/10), and my name. On the top line of the paper, include the title "Outstanding Employee Characteristics".
Consider the characteristics that an employer would expect in an outstanding employee. Write a one page essay stating your views over expected behaviors in the business work environment. What kind of behaviors will positively impact a person’s career and what will negatively impact their career? Be specific. Compare and contrast the behaviors expected in the workplace and those expected in the education environment. Neatness counts.
